The Alzheimer's Association is a voluntary health organization dedicated to researching
the prevention, cures and treatments of Alzheimer's disease and related disorders, and
providing support and assistance to those affected by the disease and their families.

Cheboygan County MSU Extension is the educational department of local government.

Cheboygan County Veterans Affairs
Cheboygan Department of Human Services provides an array of supportive services to
Cheboygan County individuals and families such as food and financial assistance, child
care, Medicaid and emergency support. It is also the state mandated agency
responsible for receiving and reviewing child and adult protective services referrals.
Cheboygan Memorial Hospital is an acute care, general hospital with 46 beds for
medical/surgical patients, including an Intensive Care Unit and a Family Life (Obstetrics)
Unit, as well as a 50-bed Long-Term Care Facility. CMH offers 24 hours-a-day, seven
days a week Emergency Services, has both inpatient and outpatient services in Surgery,
Laboratory, Cardiopulmonary, X-ray, Nuclear Medicine, Diagnostic Ultrasound, CT
Scanning, MRI, Mammography and Bone Densitometry, Cardiac Rehab, and Physical
Rehabilitation Services. We are affiliated with Vitalcare, a Home Health and Hospice
agency. CMH's medical staff includes a broad range of specialists from Family Practice
to Obstetrics to Surgery, as well as Internal Medicine, Oncology and Otolaryngology (Ear,
Nose, and Throat).
Cheboygan Otsego Presque Isle Educational Services District (COP ESD) provides an
array of educational services to families throughout our area. Click here for a brief

Child & Family Services of Northeast Michigan
District Health Department #4 has a long history of service and is proud to have been
providing Public Health Services since 1930. District Health Department No. 4 programs
support people of all ages through a wide range of services designed to assist people of
all ages. Services are provided through four major divisions; Personal Health Services;
Home Health Services; Environmental Health Services and Health Education. District
Health Department No. 4 is a branch of county government as specified in Act 368, P.A.
1978. The County Commissioners appoint a Board of Health. Please visit our web site

Northeast Michigan Affordable Housing
North East Michigan Community Services Agency (NEMCSA) provides an array of
community services for individuals of all ages and families residing in Cheboygan

Northern Family Intervention Services (NFIS) provides Intensive In Home Services to
families referred by Community Mental Health; Parent Educator Services targeting
families with children 0-3; and School Success Program providing services to families
with children attending Inland Lakes Elementary School & Wolverine Elementary School.
North Country Community Mental Health provides services to residents of Antrim,
Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Emmet, Kalkaska and Otsego Counties experiencing a severe
emotional problem, serious mental illness or developmental disability. Persons wishing

Straits Area Services
Women's Resource Center of Northern Michigan – The Women’s Resource Center of
Northern Michigan (WRC) is a multi-purpose, community-based human service
organization providing crisis and ongoing counseling and advocacy services for
domestic abuse and sexual assault including an emergency shelter. Additional services
include counseling, prevention education for youth, job and career programs, community
playgroups and child care for preschoolers and school-aged children. For more
